Team S is SKE48 first team. The team first formed at October 5, 2008 with total 16 members and Hirata Rikako as captain.
Their first stage is the revival of AKB48's Team A 1st Stage 「PARTYが始まるよ」; PARTY ga Hajimaru yo. However, their first original stage is Team S 2nd Stage 「手をつなぎながら」; Te wo Tsunaginagara which first performed on February 14, 2009. Up until now, the members of the team are in-and-out because of demoted, promotions, and graduations. AKB48's Kitahara Rie once joined the team as concurrent member during August 2012 until May 2013, before transferred into Team KII.
