Caddy Cooper is an acoustic singer/songwriter. She plays many instruments and is a lover of all styles and genres of music. Caddy learned to play guitar aged nine and began songwriting at the tender age of eleven.
After training at the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts in Music Theatre, Caddy played featured roles in musicals such as The Sound of Music, Fiddler on the Roof and A ChorusLine. Since moving to London, Caddy has transferred her primary focus to songwriting. Caddy was a London area finalist in Live and Unsigned 2011 with her original composition 'Better Place Now', was the writer behind Australian pop girl Envy Burlesque's first single 'Fever Fever Fever' and has recently been awarded 'Honorable Mention' in the International Songwriter of the Year Competition for urban composition 'Tender Heart
(Teenage Girl)'.
Caddy has recently been commissioned to write a series of children's song books incorporating the use of Makaton sign language in a bid to encourage language development and cohesion between mainstream and special schools (the first of which is due to be published before the end of the year).
