standing 8 was formed in november of 1996, in pickering, ontario canada. at the time jesse played drums in a band called electrolux, but quit that band to devote himself fully to standing 8. we played our first show on valentines day, febuary 14th 1997, in ajax, ontario. we then played in oakville, ont. and it was obvious our style was very different from any other canadian bands around at the time. at that show, we were invited to perform live on CHRY 105.5 FM.
