The Whiskey River Kings has been a project of Frankie Gardner and Big Dan Halbrooks for years before it’s current incarnation. These two men have always talked about incorporating their love for Irish folk music into the traditional folk and blues songs that they love to write and the stories they love to tell through their lyrics. Frankie and Big Dan came together because of their love of three things: their shared Irish heritage, good whiskey and stout, and their passion to keep alive old time folk, bluegrass, and blues and make those styles more accessible to their generation.
