D'origine casablancaise, Darga represente un nouveau courant de musique-world maghrébine. Fondé en 2001 par des étudiants des beaux-arts le groupe prone une vision de metissage ou s'entrecroisent une multitude de rythmique traditionnelles et modernes, profanes et sacre, urbaines et rurales.
