Sonoko Kawai

Sonoko Kawai (born June 20, 1965) is Japanese singer. Sonoko had great promise when she won the "Idol Dancepop" contest in 1983. In 1985 she joined the now legendary Onyanko Club. She soon released her debut solo single Namida no Jasmine Love that same year. Her popularity within Onyanko was great enough that she overshadowed most of the other girls and soon "graduated" into solo status. In 1987, she released her fourth album Rouge et Bleu.
