There are several bands called Radio Free Europe: (1) Radio Free Europe was an early 80s electronic/experimental band from Austin, Texas. Band members were: Brian Hansen, Dave Maya, Stephan Miller, and Dan Puckett. (2) Radio Free Europe was the musical project of Jeff Pollard. Influenced by the cinematic music of Zbigniew Preisner and John Barry, and the bass-heavy sounds of 60's Serge Gainsbourg, Radio Free Europe's recordings are rooted firmly in melody, with the organic warmth of live Rhodes and Guitar is set against melancholy, widescreen soundscapes, and a dark, low-fi atmosphere.
