Khausak is the artist name for Manuel Morocho Gualan, born in Ecuador in South America. He first learned his skills in music at age seven, and at age fifteen, he moved on to the larger cities in Ecuador. He came to the world stage after he won a contest held by the Ecuatorian Gobernment for Hispanic Education, and by 27, was a recognized artist in the United States. From there, in the 1990's, he participated in many expositions about his roots and heritage in the Andes. He preformed in many west coast states in the US as well as for many Native American tribes.
