Samosad Band was founded by Alexander Ulaev (a.k.a. Sasha U), based in Saint-Petersburg, Russia. Dub, jazz, experimental, ambient. In one’s time when the project " Samosad Bend " consisted practically of one person - keyboard player-virtuoso Sasha Ulaev who personally invited to joint performances his friends-musicians from Petrozavodsk, St.-Petersburg and Moscow. From the beginning of 2004-th the project has turned into the present group - "Samosad Bend ", has found constant performers which act at present festival.
