Steady Habits
A ska band for people who don't like ska bands: Steady Habits is and has been made up of members of many of Connecticut's worst bands of the past 15 years. One day, as they were touring the tri-state area as an intentionally non-practiced and sloppy ska-punk karaoke cover band, a group of many nerds figured "yanno maybe we should make a real band." They did and it was ok, but not very good.
However, they played a little more, and wrote some new songs, and soon it got better! The fruits of that loosely-defined "labor" can be heard on their latest, posthumous, debut-ish, full-length "I Love You, I'm Sorry." On the album, Steady Habits sets out to make actual ska music sound as little like ska music as possible (aka "listenable" and "good"). Drawing influence from a wide range of rock guitar bands, "ILYIS" provides a surprisingly fresh take on a genre that has very much gone stale. Maybe give it a listen, yeah? And drop us a line.
