Under the moniker of Mickey Mickey Rourke, LA’s Miller Rodriguez works with sound and noise by manipulating typical arrangements to hypnotic ends. With melody carefully underlying every atmospheric track, MMR’s sound is chiefly characterized by its droning layers of beautiful noise and outer worldly music, communicated through a variety of instruments and styles. Rodriguez works to balance his ambient leanings with conventional (and sometimes dark) instrumentation. NOTE: wear headphones & let time and distance disappear.
