Mahur is formed by Aran Arslan (guitar) in 2006 with Sertac Yay (drums) and Emre Sarigol (bass). They meet each other at Koc University. Their performances with different musicians added different tastes to their unique sound. They have released their first demo in 2008. Members of the group are Aran Arslan (guitar), Sertac Yay (drums), Emre Sarigol (bass), Can Ergelmiş (piano), Cenk Yıldız (percussion), Hakan Doğan (lute), Dilara Çelikkanat (guitar), İlay Bal (vocal) and Aytuğ Yaprak Tol (vocal).
