Clouds as Oceans began in Mid 2009 with Matt Cain on Bass, Clark Dallas on guitar, Nathan Siery on guitar, and Wyatt Worcel on drums. Now, Clouds as Oceans has become an entity of its own, expressing both emotion and sound at once quickly building a reputation in the Bloomington musical community for fiercely passionate and devastating live performances.
Clouds as Oceans sound is at once tangible, but still completely ethereal. Using layered guitars, effects pedals, and good old fashioned rock ideas to create their own breed of thought stimulating sounds, while simultaneously still being able to make you shake your ass. Ultimately, you might be scratching your head as to why your ass is shaking, but that's the point. All leading some listeners to call the project, "devastatingly beautiful." Clouds as Oceans will be releasing their first E.P. entitled "Tides" in late 2010.
