haegeum* player Kang Eunil (강은일) has released "Ancient Futures" - her first album to encompass various musical genres: traditional, classical, jazz and improvisation (used for soundtrack of kim ki-duk's movie "hwal"). Unlike most of her fellow young musicians these days, she starts everything from "traditional korean music" - which for her is the sole source of energy - while selectively picking up fusion and crossover.
