Dr Crackenstein is an American electronic artist born and living in Madison, Wisconsin. He began making music in 1997 and self-published many songs on mp3.com. Dr Crackenstein considers himself a trip-hop artist and he also writes tracks for local hip-hop artists for freestyling. However his style is frequently described as minimalist. He writes short, repetitive tracks, usually in four-part harmony with a lot of ambience and fractalized bass sounds.
