[1] Matt Carlson is a composer and musician who is an active participant in the underground and experimental music scene of Portland, Oregon. His work is deliberately difficult to summarize; his numerous collaborations include modal electro-acoustic improvisation with Golden Retriever, orchestral arrangements and synthesizers with pop group Parenthetical Girls, sound installations, video soundtracks and performance art with Oregon Painting Society, long form freely improvised dance music with CexFucx, and reductionist electronic drones with Bonus.
