Alouatta, from Sweden, have only been around for a year and a half. But with their two releases, the "Manos Arriba!" EP, and the seven-inch single "Animal", they've already made an impact on the swedish punkrock scene.

Drawing heavily on the influence of bands like The Wipers and Hot Snakes, they stand out quite a bit from todays generic three-chord punkrock sound.

Lately, they've gained great reviews, giving them enough attention to be featured as band of the month on swedish national radio, and offers to play at Punkfest 10 in Umea, as well as "What we do is secret", a club in Stockholm run by Denimzine, Scandinavias biggest magazine for punk/garage.

Alouatta is currently hard at work, recording their album debut, to be released sometime this year.
