P. Leela
P.LEELA was a renowned playback singer and a Carnatic Musician. Till October 2005 she enthralled all the music lovers with her melodius voice. She has sung innumerable songs in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada. Born in Chittoor (Palghat-Kerala), Leela had her training in Carnatic music under Vadakkkancheril Rama Bhagavathar. Her Carrer as Playback singer began in 1947. Her first song was in the Tamil film 'Kankanam'.
