Since the creation of VON in 1988, there have been individuals and bands within the metal genre and outside of it, that have contributed tributes to the music of VON. Cover songs include: Backskin, Blood Angel, Chalice of Blood, Christ Fire, Devil Pig, Dissection Inhuman, Evisc, Goat Christ, Lamb, Release, Satanic Blood, Veadtuck, Veinen, Vennt, VON, and Watain. Bands through the years have also taken names of some of VON's songs as their title for their band's name; from Backskin to Evisc to the internationally know band Watain.
