Dead on TV is a local Chicago band with the heady, thought provoking lyrical style of a young Elton John coupled with the large, tubular and apple-headed c*#@ of Neil Diamond during his Sweet Caroline period before he got strung up on coke.
But with frickin' guitars.
Dead on TV has stroked audiences all over the Midwest with their brand of masturbatory electro-punk narcissism which, coupled with the smash and grab disruption af ADHD lead singer Dan Evans, the brutal machine-like ineptness of drummer Vince Mcaley and a complete and heinous disregard for the life and welfare of the guitar player Xmas Smits has resulted in some of the most epically offensive shows ever removed from youtube for violation of community standards.
When broken on the sidewalk, as well, their 5 debut EP seems to somehow cut deeper than other plastic-coated cd releases.

Dead on TV failed to kill or seriously maim audience members all over Chicago in venues such as the Bottom Lounge, The Double Door, Cabaret Metro and Jill’s cousin’s basement (The decorated side, not the side with the washing machine)

Bloody Awful Poetry - 'Some of the most rambunctious, uplifting, joyous melodies ever crafted by the hands of humans. If the emotion of ecstasy and glee had a payroll, these guys would be taking the lionshare home in their bulging wallets. This will set the Summertime alight, have no doubt. Astounding!'
