Adepts of the East Coast straight-edge scene need no introduction to Porcell, former guitarist for the legendary Youth of Today, leader of Never Surrender, and head honcho at the newly formed Fight Fire With Fire label. Maturity can do interesting things to a punk rocker, especially one of the straight-edge persuasion: Porcell still believes in the Credo of the Scene and preaches it proudly, but his conversion to Krishna consciousness and his recent status as father of a small child have had something of a deepening influence on his lyrical outlook.
