Amy is a jazz pianist and composer currently serving as Instructor of Music Performance at Ball State University. Her debut trio album, "Chatter," was released in August 2011 by Rattle Records and features bassist Jeremy Allen and drummer Jason Tiemann.

Jazz and classical pianist and composer Amy Rempel is a doctoral candidate at the New Zealand School of Music. Amy is the recipient of a Downbeat Magazine Student Music Award, an Indiana University Jacobs Scholarship, Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra New Music Festival and Manitoba Music Educators Young Composer contests, and was invited to attend the prestigious Ravinia Festival Jazz Program in Chicago. Amy was Associate Instructor and then Adjunct Lecturer of Jazz Piano at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, where she completed her Master of Music degree in Jazz Studies.
