Dear DJ, the musical persona of Josh Cook, is an experimental hip-hop producer based out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This experiment in audio science infuses rap and hip-hop with a variety of sounds ranging from jazz, indian, and native, to Bossa nova, classical and psychedelic. The first album by Dear DJ features collaborations with the likes of Biz Mighty, Tame One, Block McCloud, Reef the Lost Cauze, Ethel Cee, and Copyright.
