allday afternoon was formed in the spring of 2001 in the seminal college town, Chapel Hill NC. Joel Turner, guitarist in local outfit Roads Turn Grey, assembled the core of the band to open for a large block party celebrating the end of the school year. Bringing aboard bassist Keith Sigel, as well as guitarist and vocalist Alex Rhodes from his prior band, he also recruited KJ Straub, a talented guitarist and vocalist, who was close friends with Alex.
