Headfirst tekent in september bij Saskia Slegers van Djax Records, die getipt was door DJ DNA (Urban Dance Squad). Ze zijn dan een duo, bestaande uit Ype Wielinga en Tom Colenbrander. Daarvoor zijn ze, onder de naam Twowkidz (Three white kids on weed), een trio met Olaf Jansen (alias DJ Bash) als scratcher. Jansen heeft het echter te druk als Eboman-bandlid en treedt niet toe tot Headfirst.
