Emblems
Emblems derived their name from the 2004 release by artist matt pond PA. Vocalist and guitarist, Matthew Stevens, was so moved by mpPA's album that he formerly asked Mr. Pond's permission before deciding on a name that fit the project. Matthew played several solo shows under the moniker Parachute since 2005. In the latter part of 2008, when Emily Sobacki joined on violin, Matthew decided a name change needed to be made.
