Formerly the singer with the group Carlotta, Elin Fflur rose to prominence after siging the winning song, 'Harbwr Diogel', in the 2002 Cân i Gymru (Song for Wales) competition. But she had her first taste of performing at the age of three, singing at an Eisteddfod.

Soon after leaving Carlotta, Elin became the lead singer of the Anglesey-based group Y Moniars, along with songwriter Arfon Wyn (who wrote the song 'Harbwr Diogel'). The group enjoyed a successful spell with the release of their first album 'Harbwr Diogel'.

Taking a year out from studying for a criminology degree at Bangor University, Elin recorded her debut solo album 'Dim Gair' (No Words). Released on the Welsh label Sain in December 2003, it was an instant success, mixing rock ballads and lush orchestration with folk songs and adult-oriented pop.

"It's something I've always wanted to do - a solo CD," she said. "I've recorded other things in the past but this is the first time it feels really like mine. I can't wait for people to hear it. Every song on the album comes from personal experiences."

With a diverse collection songs derived from personal experiences, and her natural charisma and talent evident, 'Dim Gair' marked the point at which Elin's talent was finally flourishing.
