Marianelli, Dario
Dario Marinelli was born in Pisa (Italy) in 1963. He now lives in London. Since the 1990's he has composed music for movies, aswell as for the concert stage.
His big breakthrough came in 2005, when he composed music for Terry Gilliam's The Brother's Grimm, aswell als for Pride & Prejudice and V for Vendetta. He is one of Britain's top composers. In 2008 he won an Oscar for the soundtrack of the movie Atonement. This soundtrack is unusual in its use of a typewriter sound.
