coo:ya's music is written by Yasuyuki Honda (a.k.a. Kurage Honda), former keyboardist of “GRASS VALLEY” - a revolutionary band that debuted on the New Wave scene in the 1980s. After disbanding, Honda continued to write music and work as a sound producer for other artists and OVAs. Honda formed "face to ace" in 2001 with Ace Shimizu, who is the former guitarist of Seikima-II. coo:ya's words are thoughtfully crafted and brought to life by miyo, who stays true to the culture of her native Japan where there was once a belief that a spiritual force known as “kotodama” reside in words.
