W.O.M.B.
There are two artists with the name W.O.M.B.
1) An Industrial/EBM project from Latvia, started in 2004 by Worm (vox, programming). St. Lexx joined later as a guitar player. Ljudoed of Fort Spencer (later Malhond) joined the band in 2008 as back vocalist/stage monkey. Eventually the members went their separate ways, and the project went back to one-man band status, with ex-members making occasional appearances on some of the tracks. 2) An all female trio of singer/songwriter/musicians, comprised of sisters Marta and Cristiana (born in Mexico City), and their best friend Debbie-Lyn (from Miami, FL.). Inspired by an eclectic mix of influences (including Tom Waits, Cat Stevens, The Police, Nirvana, Bjork and Kate Bush) as well as elements of Mexican Mariachi music. Their self-described “Kinetic” music has the passion of early Sinead O'Connor, the drama and politics of Pink Floyd, the playfulness of the Pixies and the sexuality of Portishead. W.O.M.B stands for "Warriors Of Make Believe." Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
