Frustrated cinephiles/underpaid PAs Tom Cabela and Jimmy Fusil first sought refuge in the simple immediacy of loud music in 2004. While giving "dance punk" a go in a three-piece called Dirty Pink, Tom and Jimmy formed Bloody Robots as an instrumental and improvisational outlet for their more experimental leanings. After a few poorly attended shows, and the dissolution of Dirty Pink, the boys became fully committed to Bloody Robots and began writing tight 2-minute songs.
