Outrun are an electro-synth rock party band from Melbourne Australia. Old friends and founding members Dan Preston and Josh Armistead met in Torquay, coastal Victoria, and in 2001 began experimenting with fast drums and power synth riff's, whilst at the same time listening to Goblin, Trans Am, Giorgio Moroder, & absorbing the sound tracks from B-grade 80's videos. In 2006 they randomly met up whilst on separate road trips through Nevada (U.S), and decided upon their return to Australia they would ignite their analogue sound machines again and see what would happen next.
