
New Orleans Owls
The New Orleans Owls, an obscure band, recorded 18 spirited sides during 1925-1927. Although none of its sidemen (other than Nappy Lamare and Eddie Miller) became famous, the spirited ensemble effectively bridged the gap between the New Orleans Rhythm Kings and late-'20s dance bands.
They were one of only a handful of bands that were recorded in the city of New Orleans in the 1920s.
