ABOUT YOU AND ME GALAXY
Villeneuf composer and frontman Michiel van Poelgeest spent two years creating this album, by himself.
"You and Me Galaxy (2015) is conceptually very strong. We've shaken some of the happy-go-lucky-indie off, and made a record that consists of 8 songs that belong to one another: they're a whole. The production value is so much higher this time around. And musically....!!...a lot has changed in the last couple of years. I changed the way I compose and work completely, became more organized and a lot more critical about my own creations. I fell in love with a couple of synths, an Omnichord and a Mellotron. The beats still come out of the box, but you can feel them. So definitely more towards a symphonic kind of electropop with You and Me Galaxy."

SHORT BIO
Villeneuf is a Dutch indie-pop act, founded in 2010 by composer and singer Michiel van Poelgeest. On 22 November 2012 they released their debut album Great Waste of Time in Paradiso (Amsterdam). Shortly thereafter the band made it to the final of the Dutch Grand Prix of Pop, got airplay on several national radio stations and performed live in the popular television talk show 'De Wereld Draait Door'. In 2013 Villeneuf was selected to perform several shows during the travelling Popronde festival. They played numerous other venues as well that year, such as De Brakke Grond (Sonic Soiree) and LVC (support act for Moke). Villeneuf almost never existed. Like many fortunate accidents, luck played a huge part in the formation of the band. Michiel wanted to stay in his attic and mess around with synths. Drummer Bas Ernst persuaded him -during a camping trip in France - to get over himself and form a band already. Villeneuf was born. Vive la France! Read more on Last.fm.
