OAE (Oakland Afternoon Ensemble) is a hazy wash of improvised texture; an expansive dive into deep space seen through a gauzy lo-fidelity lens. Electric hiss and reflected short bursts of noise jettison through strange frequencies, overtones and melodies performed on guitars, electronics and an ancient Arabic oud. Performed and recorded live by Bryan Hillebrandt and Derek Monypeny in afternoon sessions in Oakland, California.
