Kilema, real name Randrianantoandro Clément, is one of the greatest Malagasy musicians. Until recently, he was a member of the famous band Justin Vali Trio, with which he participated in countless festivals around the world such as WOMAD and Woodstock to name but a few. After breaking up with Justin Vali Trio, he founded his own band and currently lives in Cordoba, Spain. Kilema is a master of several Malagasy instruments such as valiha, kabosy, and marovany. His music is based on the rich polyphony of southern Madagascar where he comes from.
