Born in Solo, Central Java, on March 25, 1978, as a child brought up in the Islamic tradition of Sufism. He was so interested in the discourse of Islamic Mysticism tradition. Finally, in addition to writing sufistic songs, he also wrote a book with the same theme, entitled "Makrifat Cinta".

Since September 2011, Chandra has recorded 12 sufistic songs which he claims as "Kidung Sufi", and soon released his debut album. Song titled "Syahadat Cinta" from his debut album "Kidung Sufi Samudera Cinta", became original soundtrack of "Cinta Tapi Beda", a film by Hanung Bramantyo and Hestu Saputra, who received the ASEAN International Film Festival and Awards (AIFFA) 2013.
