The director Tobe Hooper composed with Wayne Bell two soundtracks-"The Texas Chainsaw Massacre"(original from 1974) and "Death Trap, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre soundtrack has been particularly neglected, in contrast to the cult status of the film itself. A work of hideously sublime sound art, it deserves to be rehabilitated as a key piece in the genre.
