Takaru

Takaru was a political hardcore band from the San Francisco area of California. The band was know for heavy and ferocious hardcore coupled with a sharp intellect. Their name was taken from the Kurt Vonegut book, “Player Piano”. It's the Brahtpurian word for “slave”.
The band members were at first Seth Robert Baab (Funeral Diner), Duwayne Andersen (Ruhaeda), Sean Andrews (A Days Refrain, tasharah), Joshua Stein (Kwakiutl Cannibal Society) and Brandon Fonst. Seth and Brandon would later be replaced by Dan Wedgewood and Aaron Nice of A Light in the Attic.
