F*C
F*C began in the summer of 2001 when Julian Salyer (formerly of Kyngdom) and Ryan Lee started sharing a love for punk music, and writing songs. The two began playing together at Lee's parents house in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, when they finally decided they wanted to take things to the next level. The duo called upon local drummer Billy Webb (who also backed Kyngdom on the skins), and the writing process ensued. "The Skeletor Demos" was F*C's first and only release, and was recorded in a few days at Lee's parents house. Local producer Dain Shoaf lent some producing aide, however, the trio did the majority of the recording and mixing themselves.
Quickly after The Skeletor Demos was released, F*C began playing local shows, mostly in Hopkinsville, but later branching out to Bowling Green. F*C was a big hit among the youth in Hopkinsville, who were getting bored with everyday life as it was. With these shows, F*C, as long as a handful of other local artists (Slow Jazz Music, Calico Jack), helped pave the way for the then prenatal "Hoptown Scene".
F*C disbanded in 2003, and the three members went on to start new musical adventures, and further broaden the spectrum of local music in the Pennyrile region. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
