Dyaoulé Pemba

Dyaoulé Pemba

Dyaoulé Pemba means "big party" in old Creole. The lead singer, Moonlight Benjamin left her Haïtian homeland and took a singing course in Toulouse. Shortly afterwards she sought out a group of musicians from the region, and performed her first concert. They are a band interested in the promotion of Haïtian culture and the creation of musical fusion. They sing traditional voodoo songs as well as French 'chanson' styles. Read more on Last.fm.
