There are at least two bands called Svartskog, both under the sign of black metal 1) Svartskog, an NSBM project from Russia. Formed by Morok in late fall of 2001, as a satanic black metal project. After some wasted time Svartskog became a pagan black metal project, as it remains now. Morok tried working with several musicians, but later on he made a decision to work alone. Since 2003 Svartskog is a one-man band. In 2005 a demo, "Tormentor", was released. On the same year, an split, with russian wp-metal band Kiborg, Pagan Land was released in Russia through Slovyanskiy Souz.
