www.bassajay.org Born and raised in St. Paul, MN, Archie Ajay Jackson started playing Bass Guitar at the age of 16. A self-taught musician, he performed his first professional show two years later, with his brother's band, Miki L’s Blues Review. During this time he opened for several signed Blues acts including Bobby Rush, Lefty Diz and Denise LaSalle. His first recording experience was with Blues artist Milwaukee Slim on Blue Moon Records. Ajay played several tracks on the album titled “Lemmon Avenue.” as Junior M. Later he started venturing off into different styles of music and joined several bands in the Twin Cities. He performed locally as well traveled to other cities in the U.S. playing original music. Ajay has tracked bass guitar on several Minneapolis Gospel Artists cd's and has written several Instrumental Smooth Soul Jazz cd's. Read more on Last.fm.
