1) Wata is the guitarist for the experimental Japanese rock band Boris.
2) Wata is a Japanese producer of doujin music, affiliated with the Strawhat circle. Wata is one third of the notorious Japanese experimental band Boris. She released her first solo effort, "She's So Heavy," a 7" split with Japanese folk singer Ai Aso in 2007. Wata is known for her heavy riffs, her fiery solos, and her expertise on using the ebow and experimenting with feedback.
