It all started in 1997, when Aafke and Sarah first heard the music of the Dutch punk band “De Heideroosjes”, and decided they would dedicate their lives to punk. At that time Sarah played the violin, Aafke the harp. So they only lacked a drummer, bass player, guitarist and singer… It all seemed pretty hopeless, and it took quite a while before things changed. But ultimately, after six long years, the band was completed with Marlein and Annemiek, two classmates of Sarah’s. Annemiek was able to play some chords on guitar, and Marlein happened to have an old drum-kit.
