Songwriters Ginny Weaver and Brendan Lynch formed Boston, MA indie rock band Star Ghost Dog in 1995. Joined by drummer Tom Green, they released their first album, Happylove, on Catapult Records in 1998. Their second album, The Great Indoors, came out in 2000 and was recorded at Fort Apache Studios with drummer Chris Foley and bassist Owen Burkett. Star Ghost Dog won the 2000 Boston Music Award for Outstanding New Rock Band (Indie Label), and Weaver won the Boston Phoenix Best Music Poll 2000 for Best Local Female Vocalist. The band called it quits in 2001.
