Hartford Whalers
The Hartford Whalers played in the NHL from 1979-1997, winning the Adams Division in 1986-1987. The Whalers relocated to Raleigh, North Carolina following the 1997 season, becoming the Carolina Hurricanes. During their time in Hartford, the Whalers boasted such talents as Gordie Howe, Kevin Dineen and Hall of Famer Ron Francis. Perhaps one of the most well-known figments of Whalers history remains the Brass Bonanza, the iconic fight song used by the Whalers for decades.
