Mt Augustus try to play folk music without all of that boring self importance. Mt Augustus try to play indie rock without all of the preening hipsterdom. Mt Augustus try to play lots of instruments without any real knowledge of what the hell they're doing. Mt Augustus try to play shows without any of that slick professionalism that is so prevalent elsewhere, but equally without falling apart on stage. Mt Augustus try to write songs about life, love and death while keeping a sense of humour. Mt Augustus try not to shoot themselves in the foot too often with their self depreciative comments.
