Robin’s Egg Blue Biography Robin’s Egg Blue is an alternative folk rock band based in New York City. Formed by Ishibashi (vocals, ukulele) and Masashi Ishiura (vocals, guitar) back in 2009, Robin’s Egg Blue creates an original sound heavily influenced by Japanese traditional soul. Akihiro Yamamoto (bass) and Naoki Morisaki (drums) would later join the band, and all four would record their first EP as Robin’s Egg Blue with producer Dougie Bowne (drummer for Iggy Popp, Cassandra Wilson, and Ryuichi Sakamoto).
