This movie was made by a book of one of the most popular Serbian writers, Stevan Sremac. This very funny and entertaining movie is about two young people who fall in love in Nis, a city in South Serbia then still under Turkish rule. Nevertheless, their love is not possible because of many differences, first social and the a few family disputes. But in the end, like in any good love story, the love wins.
